Education Fair

There was an education fair in school today.
I went over there with Jin.
Saw a lot of stalls of various universities and colleges
But what I've mainly seen there are mainly universities or college on arts.
There are my campus:Limkokweng University of Creative Media, The One Academy, Dazine, MIA and lots more.
We went there on the second recess and just look around.
We bounced in to a few people there.
Jin in interested in medicine field and I'd recommended her a few.
We saw St. Andrews university and learned that the hot future reign of the United Kingdom graduated there too.
Imagine going to the same school that Prince William had been to!
We know that studies in England is a good nut expensive option.
I, of course, am interested in my art, especially fashion designing.
Now many campuses are offering this course but getting a good education and exposure is important.
After visiting countless booths I came with the conclusion that Limkokweng was the best in exposure wise.
BUT,
MIA is cheaper and have a cheaper but similar and an extra subject of batik.
I'd told my parent about it but they still think that accounting is the best and designing stands no chance in the market.
I told them they are wrong.
I believe we can earn better through a job that is less in the demand.
For example accountancy is a great job.
But imagine that if more people are out for the job,
there will seriously be a problem to get a job as you need to be the best of all those.
Sometimes I just feel sick to compete with others, especially when it comes to job.
I have no interest at all in accounts, not a bit.
And why should I do things that I'm not interested in?
Is it wrong to do fashion designing?
Don't people get the term:"If it isn't you, then it's me"?
I mean my dad is also doing one of the oddest job on earth-importing research materials.
Why can't I?
Imagine if you have a box which can only fit ten balls
but then you try to put in 20 balls.
What will happen?
There are extras!
And these extras are jobless people.
When you choose a job that is not so in the demand,
You can actually ensure yourself you'll have a job.
Talking about over seas, there are always an opportunity there.
It all depends on you if you can find that opportunity.
And believe me,
when they opportunity comes once,
they will only come once.
If you get a second chance that means luck is on your side.
Fashion designing is something that will never go out of trend
And there are many parents out there that have the same attitude like my parents.
Although they demand people with loads of creativity,
I think I have the potential.
If you refer to my report card,
Art will have the highest mark.
When you talk about art, you are also talking about creativity and patience.
Some people like me(not to brag),
Have been born with this talent.
But I won't say that what I draw is always perfect.
I'll always get first opinion from my teachers,
second from my friends to make sure that my level will always remain or increase.
If I'm born with such talent, why don't I used it to advance on as a career?
Not many are suitable for fashion designing for it seriously requires lots of creativity and imagination.
I showed them my fashion and project.
They loved it and say that I have a good basic but there are still room for improvement.
Okay, if Limkokweng is too expansive, than I'll join my friend in MIA.
Three years to complete the course and go to England for and exchange.
If I seriously can't do it,
Interior designing will be my next option.
that too requires a lots of creativity and patience.
It's not easy to build a miniature model as it is to sew a dress.
But all I know is that,
If you have the heart, passion and hunger for that specific knowledge,
nothing is impossible and nothing is unstoppable.
It's important to follow your heart than to listen to others
Accept other's advice and differentiate it.
Parents are not always right.
Time changes.
Time gets shorter day by day as technology and trend advances faster.

Met a friend there who wanted to see the watercolour picture I'd drew of him.
A bit of a mix up that time as I need to settle my class T-shirt stuff.
So I spoke to a friend ask him to deal alone first as i wanted to show my picture to the other guy.
He's okay as he knows...
So I took my mate to the office to show the pic.
He was impressed but said that I'd drawn his cheeks to rosy.
I had to admit it was a little too red but what the hell?
The picture taken was in that way and I just copied it!
He went back to class.
And I went down to finish off the T-shirt deal.
We were encouraged to use other colours as the background instead of black as our designs are quite complicated and messy.
the girl had given us her contact
so all we have to do is wait for her colour chart.

End of school.
went to get Jin.
Then we headed to the fair again as Jin haven't seen the whole of it.
I went home at four, quarreled with my parents in the car about my future career, had lunch and reached home.

Speaking about cars,
my dad managed to sell of his old 200E Benz and got a Perodua Viva.
We planned on selling the Myvi too but we'd been played out by the dealer.
He earlier offered RM 31,000 for the car but when we went to the showroom to check out the Toyota Vios,
he can only cough out RM28,500, which, after depreciation and all we will lose.
My parents got pissed-off and just walked off.
Now my dad is going to touch up his BMW and keep it, but for the Myvi,
we're going to get it sold first.
I heard car prices will be dropping so we need to sell the Myvi out.
Note then when I said BMW,
it's not a car but a bike,
a half tonne bike, K1100.
an old classic.

well, a little too much to say.
I'll leave it here till next time.
